We reserve same-day and next-day appointment slots for acute illnesses, and unlike urgent care centers, you'll see Dr. Irons who has access to your complete health record and can make informed decisions about your treatment. Even when you're sick, you deserve more than a rushed 5-minute evaluation. Our 30-minute sick visits allow time to properly assess your symptoms, perform necessary examinations, discuss treatment options, and ensure you understand your recovery plan.
Same-Day Access with Continuity of Care
We understand that illness doesn't follow a schedule, which is why we prioritize same-day appointments for acute concerns. We treat respiratory infections (colds, flu, COVID-19, bronchitis, sinus infections), urinary tract infections, skin conditions and rashes, minor injuries and sprains, gastrointestinal issues, ear infections, and other urgent but non-emergency health problems. The advantage of seeing your own doctor rather than urgent care? Dr. Irons knows your medical history, current medications, allergies, and past treatments. He can make better decisions about your care and ensure your treatment doesn't interfere with your ongoing health management. You'll also have seamless follow-up if your condition doesn't improve as expected.
Thorough Evaluation, Not Just Quick Prescriptions
Even when you're feeling unwell, you deserve a proper evaluation. Our 30-minute sick visits allow time to take a detailed history of your symptoms, perform a thorough physical examination, order appropriate testing if needed (rapid strep, flu, COVID, urinalysis, etc.), discuss treatment options and their pros and cons, and provide clear instructions for recovery and self-care. We explain what to expect during your illness, when you should start feeling better, warning signs that require immediate attention, and when to follow up. You'll leave understanding your diagnosis, your treatment plan, and exactly what to do if you're not improving. We also provide work/school notes when needed.
